Mr. Payne’s client worked changing agricultural tires for farmers in a small East Texas town. While changing one of the tires, the bead failed in an explosion which killed Mr. Payne’s client. Through significant technical research, Mr. Payne was able to find that most agricultural manufacturers had safer alternative bead designs which would have prevented the explosion in question. This research led to a significant confidential settlement by the tractor tire manufacturer.
